SA1-MM and the SI-FLS
The SA1-MM Single Board Computer Module
The
SA1-MM (micro-module) is a scalable performance and power computer module rich in serial I/O. It is targeted to
battery applications that require burst-based processing requirements such as biometric fingerprint recognition.
The micro-module boasts a powerful Intel® StrongARM processor optimized to deliver 260MIPS@235MHz with a memory
bus speed of 143MHz. Based on the popular ARM processors, this high-speed RISC processor provides an excellent
power-to-performance ratio for deeply embedded
algorithms.
Along with the intense processing, what makes the micro-module, "micro"? The answer: not only its small
size of 1.65" x 2.00", but also the incredibly low power consumption in its deepest power-down mode.
With a power consumption of less than half a micro watt, the SA1-MM is perfectly suited to battery-powered applications.
The SI-FLS Fingerprint Recognition Module

Measuring just 1.875" x 1.25", the SI-FLS is the perfect companion to our SA1-MM micro-module. It is
built around the revolutionary AF-S2™ Fingerloc™ sensor from Authentec, Inc. This module captures the image of
the fingerprint and delivers it to the micro-module for processing. Together, these two modules form the heart
of any biometric device. Add to this a custom backplane which provides power and I/O to the system and you have
a complete biometric solution.
